Biosketch

Fritz Allhoff, JD, PhD, Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Western Michigan University and Adjunct CommunityÌýProfessor in ÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥'s Department of Medical Ethics, Humanities, and Law. In 2014, heÌýgraduated,Ìýmagna cum laude,Ìýfrom the University of Michigan Law School and went on to clerk for the Honorable Chief Justice Craig F. Stowers of the Alaska Supreme Court. After the clerkship, heÌýwas a Fellow at Stanford Law School's Center for Law and the Biosciences.ÌýIn 2018, heÌýwas a Fulbright Specialist in the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Iceland.

Most of Dr. Allhoff's writing and teaching is in applied ethics, ethical theory, and philosophy of law.ÌýHis popular articles have appearedÌýin SlateÌýandÌýThe Atlantic.ÌýThe National Science Foundation has funded several of his research projects, with almost $1,000,000 in support.
