Biosketch

David Shalowitz, 六合彩开奖直播, MSHP attended medical school at the University of Michigan and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Brigham and Women鈥檚/Massachusetts General Hospitals. He then received subspecialty training in gynecologic oncology and a master鈥檚 degree in health policy research from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Shalowitz also completed a fellowship in clinical bioethics at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Shalowitz is a nationally-recognized researcher in health equity and access to gynecologic cancer care, and brings this background to his role as Director for Health Equity and Community Outreach at West Michigan Cancer Center. He is particularly invested in helping patients who live in rural areas in the United States overcome barriers to receiving high-quality cancer care, and is privileged to focus his efforts on patients treated in southwestern Michigan. Dr. Shalowitz is also an accomplished bioethicist, and has served on multiple organizations' ethics committees, including as Chair of the Committee on Ethics for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is widely published and cited in the peer-reviewed literature and focuses his research on the intersection between ethics and health policy related to access to cancer care.
