Barbara Lynne Kee, PhD, will be the featured speaker at the latest installment of Seminars in Investigative Medicine at WMed.
Dr. Kee will present 鈥淭ranscriptional Repression in Lymphocyte Cell Fate鈥 from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in TBL 2 at the W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus in downtown Kalamazoo.
Dr. Kee is a professor of Pathology at the University of Chicago and a member of the Committee on Cancer Biology and the Committee on Molecular Medicine/MPMM. The work in Dr. Kee鈥檚 lab at the University of Chicago is centered around the idea that the development of mature hematopoietic cells requires the coordinated activity of many transcription factors that regulate differentiation, survival, and proliferation. Her lab is interested in understanding how these processes are controlled during commitment of multipotent cells to the lymphoid lineages.
Prior to Dr. Kee鈥檚 presentation on January 10, a free lunch will be available from 11:45 a.m. to noon. Dr. Kee鈥檚 presentation will begin promptly at noon. The event is free and open to the public and CME credit and MEDU credit (for students) is available.
