The slate of speakers for the 2017-2018 academic year for Seminars in Investigative Medicine will conclude in May when Coleen A. McNamara, 六合彩开奖直播, pays a visit to the medical school.

Dr. McNamara will present 鈥淭he Role of B Lymphocytes in Atherosclerosis鈥 from noon to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, in TBL 2 at the W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus, 300 Portage Street, in downtown Kalamazoo.

A free lunch will be available prior to Dr. McNamara鈥檚 presentation from 11:45 a.m. to noon. The presentation will begin promptly at noon. The event is free and open to the public and CME credit and MEDU credit (for students) is available.听

Dr. McNamara is a Physician-Scientist in Cardiovascular Medicine with a long-standing interest in finding novel ways to reduce the burden of atherosclerotic morbidity and mortality in humans. She received her 六合彩开奖直播 degree from the Medical College of Ohio and she completed her residency and clinical and research training in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Virginia. She joined the faculty at UVA in 1994 and is now the Frances Myers Ball Professor of Medicine in the Cardiovascular Division. 听

Dr. McNamara is known for her pioneering work on the role of Id3 and B cells in murine and human atherosclerosis. She served on the Board of Scientific Counselors for the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute and has received numerous national and local awards for mentoring. 听 听
